Hi. My name is Elizabeth Chitty Sandoval.

As the daughter of two somatic therapists, I've been steeped in alternative therapies from a young age. While my formal training began at age 22, my informal training began with receiving daily doses of energy work each night before falling asleep, when I bumped my knees, had emotional turmoil, the flu, a car accident or a bad case of the hiccoughs. Finding mental, emotional and physical balance using somatic awareness was part of my everyday experience. In choosing to become a therapist, I brought a seasoned trust in the work I was studying, built by a lifetime of first-hand experience.

Today, I continue to study with my parents at the Colorado School of Energy Studies, both as a student and as a teaching assistant. I have continued to build out my therapeutic training with studies in Structural Integration at the Rolf Institute and Massage Therapy at the San Francisco School of Massage. I have had the fortune to do personal mentorships with several incredible, lifelong practitioners, which has helped me to hone and cultivate my touch skills. My understanding of the body's inherent intelligence and our capacity to grow by fire has been cultivated and honed by my work with Holly Johnston. Johnston's annual SummerLAB program helps pre-professional and professional dancers access their inherent intelligence for movement and healing. Collaborating in offering this program has become a core component in the work that I pursue.

From my training as a dancer and somatic therapist, I am especially interested in the wisdom of the human body, how it self organizes, regenerates and heals itself. In all the work I do, my first and foremost goal is to honor the inherent health and wisdom of each client, helping them to align with their own vision for healing, transformation and becoming.

Allow physiological functioning within to manifest its own unerring potency, rather than apply blind force from without.
